TLA WOMENINTECH is a committed and aligned group of over 5,000 members within Tech London Advocates, dedicated to normalising gender balance and equality in the UK’s tech industries.

Through a focused, strategic Manifesto incorporating five #SheCanDoTech Initiatives, the TLA WOMENINTECH movement are championing inclusivity and working to establish equal treatment and great opportunities for all women looking for a successful tech career.

To provide an open platform that accelerates opportunities for women as we Connect, Learn, Inspire and Campaign for an inclusive and sustainable tech industry.  We drive action anchored by our 5 foundational pillars aligned with our values of Clarity, Collaboration and Courage.

At the heart of our movement is our strategic Manifesto which comprises 5 core initiatives. Individually and together they will support and influence positive change to make gender balance & equality the norm within the tech industry.

Boards

• Actively champion diversity by promoting successful senior female leaders
• Build a network of #SheCanDoTech Advocates at Board level to act as role models and advisors
• Support career development and mentor Advocates coming up through the ranks

Best Practice

• Promote and share the #SheCanDoTech Manifesto
• Act as an advisory resource for decision makers at C-level, Board level
• Deliver leading-edge #SheCanDoTech workshops and events
• Provide insight to support government initiatives and policy

Education

• Develop and deliver a programme of #SheCanDoTech inspiring, informative communications and events campaigns
• Bring educators, pupils and career advisory bodies together with tech professionals
• Empower our members with #SheCanDoTech dynamic skills workshops

Funding

• Seek partnerships with innovative, like-minded organisations to support female investors/investees
• Promote and encourage entrepreneurial Advocates seeking funding solutions
• #SheCanDoTech Presentation & Pitching skills workshop

Mentoring

• Create a diverse cohort of professional tech mentors across the industry
• Create opportunities for introductions and engagement with #SheCanDoTech Mentors and Sponsors
• #SheCanDoTech neuroscience workshops to improve mindset, beliefs and confidence

TLA community.
